Betty Garretson

Betty Garretson  of Elba, Alabama passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Talladega, Alabama. She was 74.           

              Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise with Rev. Hubert McWaters officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00pm and continuing until service time. 

                Mrs. Garretson was born January 10, 1938 in Etowah County to the late Morris and Marie Powell Estes. Her husband, James Franklin Garretson, 2 sisters Pat Barr and Dorothy Gail Adkison all preceded her in death.

                  Survivors include 1 daughter: Linda Luke (Bill) Jacksonville, FL, 1 son: Danny Estes (Laura), Talladega, AL, 2 sisters: Paula Dennis, Daleville, AL, Foye Mock (Jack), Kinston, AL, 3 brothers: Bobby Estes (Dot), Chancellor, AL, Charles Adkison, Ray Estes (Jeanette), Gadsden, AL, Stepmother : Margaret Estes, Gadsden, Al  8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, very special friends, Shirley and Louis Smith, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers : Chris, Shawn, and Andrew Luke, Mike, Mitchell and Michael Estes, Jason Johnson, honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
