Wrestling Favorte Brad Armstrong Found Dead

Popular wrestler Brad Armstrong, who entertained thousands of fans along the Gulf coast and across the nation, was found dead Thursday at his home in Marietta, GA.  According to several reports, Armstrong had recently seen a doctor for an undisclosed illness. 

His real name was Robert Bradley James, son of WWE Hall of Fame superstar "Bullet" Bob Armstrong.  Brad is survived by his brothers, all who have spent much of their career in the professional wrestling business.  Scott is a WWE referee who can be seen on programs such as Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, Brian (Road Dog Jesse) James who once was a member of WWE's Degeneration X and Steve, who wrestled many years and still makes occasional ring appearances on the independent circuit.  

Brad got his start more than 30 years ago with Southeastern Championship Wrestling where he worked alongside WDHN's Charlie Platt, who was a longtime wrestling commentator.  He later wrestled for Georgia Championship Wrestling before moving on to stints in World Championship Wrestling and the WWE.

Brad Armstrong was 51 years old.
