WCC ART STUDENTS WIN AWARDS FROM ART LEAGUE

Dothan, Ala.--Several Wallace Community College art students gained recognition for their work at a recent reception at the Cultural Arts Center in Dothan. Each student received $100 juror awards, presented by Dave Turner, Dothan Wiregrass Art League vice president.

WCC students winning awards were Kanisha Doyle, drawing; Hannah Edgman, photography; Kyle Ernest, drawing; Curtis Owens, photography; and Secili Pybus, drawing.

Ashley Bell, WCC art instructor, was thrilled with the outcome, as well as all of the entries in the competition. "The students' work looked great! As an art instructor at WCC, I am very proud of WCC's art students. This is a wonderful accomplishment, and it is important to share their artwork with the community," she said.

The exhibition will be on display at the Cultural Arts Center from October 22 through December 1.
