Elementary Students Make Birthday Cards For Cancer Patient

Students at Cloverdale Elementary School are making bright
and colorful cards for Cooper Sasser who will soon celebrate his fourth
birthday, a milestone which will also mark the halfway point of Cooper's chemotherapy treatments.
The students and teachers don't know
Cooper personally, but they all too well how serious cancer is and how
encouragement can lift the spirits of those who suffer from it.
"We've had several people
touched by cancer recently," said Cloverdale media specialist Carla Tew. "We had a student whose mother passed away from
cancer (recently) and we've done several things to get our kids
involved trying to making a difference in other people's
lives."
The young Cloverdale students
already have nearly 200 cards full of birthday greetings and want you
to help them in making Cooper's birthday bright.
You can drop off a card
at Cloverdale Elementary before November 9th or you can mail one to Cooper at P.O. Box 866 Andalusia, Alabama 36420.
