Samantha "Sam" Susan Register of Dothan, Alabama passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her residence following an extended battle with breast cancer. Samantha was 38.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Graceville, FL with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm prior to the service at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to SAMC Foundation Champions of Hope, 1922 Fairview Ave, Dothan, AL 36301.
Samantha was preceded in death by her grandparents Horace Register, Elbert & Jean Franklin all of Graceville, Florida.
Survivors include her sons Steven Blakey and Jonathan Horton; her daughter Alanna Horton; her parents Michael Register (fianc Faye Carroll), Becky & Phillip Hornsby; grandmothers, Frances Register and Peggy Hornsby; an Aunt, Patsy "Sister" Riley; her sisters Tori (Gabe) Browning, Kaley Register, Deena (Pete) Renew, and Jamie (Donnie) Lanier; 3 nephews, 3 nieces, several special Uncles, Aunts and many cousins.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Scott McAllister, Allison Johnson, C.R.N.P and the Staff of Dothan Hematology & Oncology, P.C. and Gentiva Hospice of Dothan.
