Steve Jernigan Arrested for First Degree Theft

On October 22, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a four count felony arrest following a recent investigation of multiple crimes. Investigators say Steve Jernigan was arrested after an investigation revealed Jernigan, acting on behalf of American Muscle Cars, entered multiple agreements for cash in return for vehicle maintenance, sales and repairs. Jernigan took money in return for these services which were never rendered in at least four cases. Police say the investigation will remain open and are asking anyone with information about the cases or evidence of any additional thefts to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000

Steve Jernigan, white male, 61 years of age, of Dothan, Alabama was arrested and charged with four counts of First Degree Theft by Deception with bonds totaling $100,000. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
