Durwood Lewis "Buddy" Paramore

Mr. Durwood Lewis "Buddy" Paramore, age 83, of Ozark, died Tuesday morning, October 23, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, October 26, 2012, from Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Steve King officiating. Interment will follow in Mabson Cemetery with full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mr. Paramore was born June 9, 1929 in Dale County to the late Lewis "Bud" Paramore and Zadie Heath Paramore. He served in the United States Army and the Alabama Army National Guard, 131st Battalion, until his retirement in 1979 with twenty-seven years of combined active duty. Mr. Paramore was a member of Ozark Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He was also in the heavy equipment construction industry and was an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jodi Paramore; and his maternal grandparents, Morgan and Donie Heath.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elouise Shirah Paramore of Ozark; two daughters and sons-in-law, Zada and Manuel Pineiro of McAllen, Texas, and Patti and Rudy Golson of Prattville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Tra (Molly) Griffin, Brian (Ronda) Golson, Crystal Pineiro, and John Pineiro; three great grandchildren, Lela Griffin, Jack Golson, and Emilee Golson; one sister, Vicky Paramore Sullivan of Thomaston, Grorgia.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ozark Baptist Church, 282 South Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360. The family would like to express their thanks to Community Hospice for their help and kindness.
