SFC Richard Roberson

SFC Richard Roberson (United States Army Retired), age 78, of Ozark, died Sunday, October 21, 2012, in Dale Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, October 26, 2012, from St. Paul AME Church in Ozark with Reverend Fred Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M.

SFC Roberson was born September 19, 1934 in Dale County to the late Noah and Bessie Faulk Roberson.  He served in the United States Army for twenty-two years until his retirement in 1975, which included Vietnam.   He was an active member of St. Paul AME Church.

Survivors include one niece, Karen Bohanon of Copperas Cove, Texas; one sister, Arizona Page of Orlando, Florida; and one brother-in-law, Joe Griffin of Ozark. Seven great nieces and nephews, several great -great nieces and nephews also survive.
