Mr. Odis M. Cain of Elba, AL passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at Flowers Hospital. He was 88.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Rev. Stanley Carter and Rev. Steve Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge UMC with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 23 from 6 until 8 pm.
Mr. Cain was born March 31, 1924, to the late W.A. and Huntice Byrd Cain in Coffee County. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elba. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ardith Brown Cain, two daughters, Marilyn Cain Hundley and Barbara Cain and one brother, Paul Cain.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Cain, Elba, AL, one son, Johnny Cain (Sandra), Enterprise, AL, one step-daughter, Reda Bruce, Enterprise, AL, one step-son, Tommy Harrison (Wanda), Jacksonville, FL, three grandchildren: Nancy Edwards (Forrest), Gallatin, TN., Karen Williamson (Bob), Troy, AL, and Nathan Hundley (Julie), Birmingham, AL; three step-grandchildren: Erica Willis, Tuscaloosa, AL, Justin Willis, Pensacola, FL and Scott Ferguson, Enterprise, AL, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Lou Shirah, Hartford, AL and one son-in-law, Zane Hundley, Enterprise, AL.
