Marion (M.D.) Green

Mr. Marion (M.D.) Green, age 85 a resident of Dothan died Friday October 19, 2012 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday October 21, 2012 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dan Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery near Headland with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Glover Funeral Home Chapel prior to services. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Men's Ministry, 901 Montezuma Avenue, Dothan, AL. 36303.
Mr. Green was born on January 9, 1927 in Clayton the son of the late Wade and Maudie Bell Johnson Green. He worked as a long haul truck driver and had lived in Dothan since 1963 moving from Panama City, FL. Mr. Green was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Heath Hicks; sister, Juanita Greene and brother Wade Green, Jr.
Survivors include: wife of 64 years, Bernice Green, Dothan; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Steve Hicks, Ashford; two sons and daughters-in-law, O'neal and Paula Green, Montgomery; Anthony and Sharon Green, Montgomery; sister, Jeanette Glover, Dothan; two brothers, Herman Green, Clayton; Bennie Frank Green, Eufaula; six grandchildren, Neal DiChiara, Hayden Hicks, Meredith Green, Blair Beard, Morgan Green, Jamie Green; four great-grandchildren, Harrison Hicks, Martie Will DiChiara, Maggie DiChiara, Mary Jewel DiChiara.
