If you've been craving a corn dog, or itching to see some greasy pig action, you are about to get what you've been wishing for.
It's time for the National Peanut Festival, and the peanut fair grounds are ready for the crowds.
But the festival that isn't planned overnight, it takes a community to put together.
"This is the big show in Dothan and Houston County," explained Ealey Brackin, a 30-year Peanut Festival volunteer and the president of the Peanut Festival Board of Directors.
"We kick off in February with the annual state fair meeting and it gets kicked off into high gear then," he said. "It's peanut picking time, and that is our logo and theme this year."
While peanuts will be the main attraction, several vendors and shows are slated to be at the festival.
The ever popular greased pig competition will happen November 5th at 7:00pm.
The Eli Young Band will be in concert, and of course, the corn dog man will be there.
Over 200 thousand people are expected to come to the festival this year.
