Mrs. Effie Franklin Monday of Dothan passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was 95.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday, October 20, 2012, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice. P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302.
Mrs. Monday was a member of Howards Grove Baptist Church. She loved to play Bingo and loved to sew, but most of all she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Clara Baggerly of Bainbridge, GA; sons, Charles Monday and his wife, Margaret of Dothan; Jimmy Monday and his wife, Patricia of Moultrie, GA; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
