One Dies When Car Runs Under Mobile Home

By: Ken Curtis
Updated: October 17, 2012
A three car wreck on Montgomery Highway near Dothan Pavilion has claimed the life of one person.  The accident happened Wednesday night when the driver who died apparently lost control of his vehicle after a collision involving the other two cars.

The car in which the fatality occurred left the northbound lanes of the busy roadway and ran under a mobile home on a sales lot near the Napier Field Road.

"Terrible," is how John Hawker described the wreck.  He didn't see it happen but stopped just after the collision.  "It's sad to see someone die like this," he said.

An accident that occurred last month about a mile north of Wednesday's accident took the life of a woman whose car was rear ended by a truck and caught on fire.

The name of the person killed will be released after next of kin are notified.
