Children's Home In Desperate Need Of Items And You Can Help

The Wiregrass Children's Home serves a valuable need in the Wiregrass. David Duke with the Wiregrass United Way 2-1-1 says they are running low on some items needed for the children they serve on a daily basis.

Anyone wishing to donate any of these items can contact the Wiregrass Children's Home at 334-692-5100. In addition, people can also drop off items at the Wiregrass United Way 2-1-1 office in downtown Dothan and they will make sure the donated items are delivered to the Children's Home.

Wiregrass United Way 2-1-1 is located at 545 West Main St., Suite 313 in Dothan and can be reached by dialing 334-836-1963.

Items needed includes:
 
Paper Products:
Toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, napkins, styrofoam bowls, kleenex tissues, disposable cups of all sizes, & 39 gallon trash bags
 
Canned Food:
Mixed vegetables, sweet peas, corn, green beans, carrots, sweet potato yams, canned fruit like pineapples, pears & peaches.
 
Snack Food:
Little Debbie's, individual peanut butter & crackers packs, small individual bags of chips, individual apple sauce packs, individual fruit cups, and individual sugar free pudding cups
