Durlie Shiver Cook

Durlie Shiver Cook, a resident of Dothan went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 14, 2012. She was 88.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Wallace Russell and John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2012.
Durlie was born December 14, 1923, to the late John R. and Minnie Merritt Shiver in Geneva County, Alabama. She retired from Warners in 1980, after 26 years.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Cook, a son, Johnny, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Lanier Cook and his wife, Karen of Dothan; Russell Cook and his wife, Helen of Enterprise; grandchildren, James Cook, Laurie Cook, Steven McLain, and Christopher McLain, three great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Sara Shiver, and several nieces and nephews.
