Frank Pierson Money, Sr.

Frank Pierson Money, Sr., a resident of Haleburg, died Saturday night, October 13, 2012, at his home. He was 92.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in the Haleburg Baptist Church with Reverend Ray Cobb and Reverend C. M. Holloway officiating. Graveside services, with Military Honors and Masonic Rites, will follow in the Haleburg Cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL 36303 or to the Haleburg Cemetery Fund, c/o Sara Pitchford, 3108 County Road 112, Columbia, AL. 36319.
Mr. Money was a lifelong resident of
Haleburg, son of the late Otis Money and Rhetta Louise Holley Money. He served
his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Money was an
active member of the Haleburg Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He
formerly served as Superintendent of Sunday School and on the building
committees which rebuilt the Haleburg Baptist Church twice and also served on
several other committees. Mr. Money served on the Judson Baptist Association
Executive Board. He was a member of the Brown's Crossroads Masonic Lodge No. 529
and served as its Worshipful Master several terms. Mr. Money was retired from WestPoint Stevens
as a warehouse supervisor and was also engaged in farming. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Dora Walworth Money, a daughter-in-law, Dinah Money, two
sisters, Patsy Hix and Fauvette Carter, a brother, Byron Money and two
great-grandchildren, Charity Hall and Will Hall.
