Mrs. Kathryn Helms Ezell of Abbeville passed away Friday, October 12, 2012, at her residence. She was 80.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Ezell was born in Texasville, AL; December 4, 1931, and lived in Barbour County and Ft. Myers, FL; for the last 18 years until June 2012.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nita Helms, her father, Gordon Helms, sisters, Joyce Skinner and Louise Belcher, and her husband, George Whitley.
Survivors include her daughters, Martha Skeen of Abbeville; Faye Jones and her husband, Randy of Abbeville; Patsy Patat and her husband, Ricky of South Pittsburg, TN;
Son, Terry Whitley and his wife, Carolyne of New Brockton; sister, Peggy Hagler and her husband, Bennie of Skiperville; grandchildren, Charlotte Barron, Chris Patat, Holly Clemmons, Nicole Kelly, Sonya Vanlandingham, Ladon Whitley, George Whitley and Nicole Whitley, great-grandchildren, Dustin and Austin Lingo, and Christopher George Jr (CJ), Dalton Patat, Katie and Caleb Clemmons, Desiree, Taylor, Terry Jr (TJ), Whitley, Triston Whitley, Taylor and Abby Kelly, great-great-grandson, Valeon Lingo, and several nieces and nephews.
