Jerry Allen Mercer

Jerry Allen Mercer, a resident of Webb, died late Friday night, October 11, 2012, in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital. He was 65.
Mr. Mercer was born in Clewiston, Florida, and was reared in LaBelle, Florida. He moved to Webb in 2009. Mr. Mercer was retired, due to disability, as a painter. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Mercer and his mother, Wanda Lucky McClenithan.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Jada Julian; a son, Jeremiah Mercer; three sisters, Nancy Barefield and husband, Jimmy Ray, Webb, AL; Cathy and Frances, both of Ft. Myers, FL; three brothers, Oliver Wooten, Kernsville, NC, Red Mercer and Clarence Mercer; two grandchildren, Daniel Julian and Colton Julian; and two great-grandchildren.
