Kinston Man Pleads Guilty In Geneva County Courtroom

In Geneva County Criminal Court, William Walter Sasser, Jr., 33, of Kinston, AL, pleaded guilty for failing to register as a sex offender and two counts of cruelty to animals. 

Sasser's previous sex conviction was in Florida for lewd, lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 back in 2001. 

The child was 9 years old at the time.  In the investigation of the failing to register case in Geneva it was discovered that he was responsible for two dead dogs found in the house. 

Sasser received 10 years for the failing to register case and the maximum of 1 year each for the two misdemeanor cruelty to animal cases.
