Mrs. Jeanette Owens of Talladega, AL, formerly of Daleville, AL passed away October 8, 2012 at her residence. She was 84.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 11, at 1:00 p.m. at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise with Rev. Larry Doster officiating. Burial will follow at Daleville Memorial Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, at 12:30 until service time at 1:00.
Mrs. Owens was born December 11, 1927 to the late George S. and Minnie Peterson Wilcox in Jefferson County. Her parents, husband, Sherrill Owens, one brother and one sister, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include; two sons: Robert H. Jones Jr. (Norma J), Talladega, AL and Michael Wayne Jones (Judy), Greenville, GA; one brother, Rev. Billy Wilcox (Sally), Defuniak Springs, FL and one sister Mary Alice Clem (Billy), Leeds, AL; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren .
