Robert Houston Hudson

Mr. Robert Houston Hudson of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 76.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 5, 2012 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Rev. Cliff Quincey officiating.Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until 3:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Hudson was born July 29, 1936 in Crenshaw County, Alabama to the late Daniel Webster and Velma Lee Hall Hudson.He had served in the United States Army and also worked at Fort Rucker as an Electrical Technician.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Joseph Hudson, a sister and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hudson, Enterprise; a daughter, Anita Zumbach (David), Harker Heights, Texas; a son, John Thomas Hudson (Eugena), Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters: Nadine Carnley and Josephine Mitchell; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
