35 To Graduate In Wallace GED Ceremony

Wallace Community College will hold commencement ceremonies for 35 graduates of the Adult Education GED program Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., in Cherry Hall at the Wallace Campus in Dothan. Ms. Belinda Mitchell, Center Director for the Alfred Saliba Family Services Center, will deliver the keynote address.
 
According to Wallace President Linda C. Young, GED graduates will be prepared to pursue higher education or to move into the local workforce with greater earning power than those without a high school diploma. Of the 35 GED graduates, 31% have already enrolled at Wallace Community College and 49% are planning to enroll. 
 
Wallace Community College offers free GED preparation classes through its adult education program at twelve locations in Houston, Henry, and Barbour counties.
