Dothan Police Looking For Burglary Suspect

By: Stephen Crews
Updated: October 2, 2012

The Dothan Police Department is seeking the help of our local community in locating a man wanted for a violent burglary which was believed to be domestically motivated. Police responded to the victim's residence located in the 400 block of Mona Drive on September 23, 2012 shortly after the incident.

The victim had been contacted by the suspect, Gerald Cochran, who told her he was on his way to her home to speak with her. The victim advised Cochran he should not come to her home and that she would not speak with him. A few moments later, the victim saw the suspect's vehicle approaching after which he kicked open the door, confronted the victim and physically assaulted her.

Police say Cochran is from Montgomery, Alabama and may still be in Dothan but is believed to have fled to the Montgomery area. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case or location of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.

Gerald Cochran, black male, 19 years of age, of Montgomery, Alabama is WANTED for Second Degree Burglary.
