Dale County High School celebrates a milestone. The high school turns 50 this year. The high school opened in 1962 and has been a vital part of the community ever since. Students and Alumni celebrated the half a century mark during Friday's homecoming activities.
The festivities included an assembly where Dale County alum and former Henry County Schools superintendent Dennis Coe was the guest speaker.
Also, Regan Castle was announced as the homecoming queen.
The school's principal Patrick Cain said a lot has changed over the years, but one thing remains the same.
"" I believe we still have the exact same moral and values that they had back in the 60's. Those values are being carried on now," said Cain.
The homecoming activities concluded with a Friday's football game. The Dale County Warriors took on the Houston County Rams
