Willie Charles Barber

Willie Charles Barber, 65, of Webb went to be with the Lord Monday, September 17, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Barber was born August 1, 1947 in Houston County and lived in Webb, AL all of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Houston County High School and was employed with Hedstrom for 23 years and also with American Brass International. Mr. Carroll owned and operated Carroll's Paint and Body Shop until his recent illness. He was an avid John Deere Tractor collector and was a member of the Dothan Mustang Club. He attended New Freedom Church in Webb. Mr. Barber was preceded in death by his mother Nettie Barber, his daughter Pamela "Peaches" Allen, a granddaughter Nikita Rodgers, and a grandson Paul Carroll.

Survivors include his wife Mattie Barber; his children, Willie C. (Mary Ann) Barber, Jr., Fernando Jones, Susie (Earnest Faulk) Barber, Alease and Terry Baker, Wanda Barber, Angela (Kenny Graham) Barber, Clorisa (Cedric Clark) Carroll, Elizabeth and Andera Newton, Melissa (Frank Lloyd) Carroll, and Alexsis Carroll; 23 grandchildren; his birth mother Lola Freeman also survive.
