People from all the way around the world gathered at the Dothan Opera House Wednesday to join hands in what could become a very profitable friendship.

Mayor Mike Schmitz has been talking about this for quite awhile and Dothan could soon see actions to go along with that talk.

Sozo Group is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bridging the gap between the United States and China and they are taking steps towards doing that right here in Alabama.

The group has been working with Mayor Schmitz and the city of Dothan to bring jobs to this area and Wednesday's Chinese Delegation event not only enhanced the opportunity for those jobs, but it also further developed relationships.

George Harris, co-founder of the Alabama and China Partnership said that Alabama is a great place to bring jobs, but also a great place to live life and Chinese business investors are recognizing this too.

The Sozo Group will bring over 100 Chinese companies to Alabama next week and they will be welcomed with the same hospitality that first attracted them to our state.

If all goes as planned Dothan and other areas of Alabama could see new jobs in just a couple of months.
