A woman was robbed in Enterprise early Thursday morning while attempting to conduct a transaction at automated teller machine.

Police Captain Steve Russell said the woman went to the Wells Fargo bank in the 600 block of Boll Weevil Circle to make a withdrawal.  "A man walked up to the side of her vehicle armed with a handgun and demanded money," Russell said in a prepared written release.  The man then fled toward the rear of Westgate Shopping Center.

The victim described her assailant as a black male approximately 6' 0" tall and weighing around 170 lbs. wearing a grey hoodie type jacket.  The woman was not hurt.

Russell is asking anyone with information about this crime to contact the Enterprise Police Department at 334-347-2222 or leave an anonymous tip at enterprisepd.com
