Myrtle Lee Powell Shirley, a resident of Opelika, AL and formally of Dothan, died Sunday, September 16, 2012. She was 95.
FuneralServices will be held at 11 A. M. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from the Chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Oates officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel from 10 until 11 A. M., one hour prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Stand up to Cancer.
Mrs. Shirley was born in Florala, AL and lived her early years there. After attending business school, she married Cecil Earl Shirley and they moved to Dothan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Hazel Snuggs and Gladys Cobb, and a Great grandchild, Tabatha Westberry.
Survivors include; one son, Tom Shirley and wife Charlotte of Valley, AL
Three Granddaughters; Kim Rinaldi and husband Billy; Christy Westberry and husband Dan and Pamela Wright.
Two Great grandsons; Daniel Westberry and Jimmy Rinaldi and Two great great grandchildren; Zach and Michaela Rinaldi.
A very special previous daughter in law Donna Shirley and special McCallister family.
