Ammons worked with Troy University athletics, served as the Director of Financial Aid at Troy University, and continued his career as the Coordinator of Financial Aid and Veteran Affairs for Alabama Aviation Center for the last three years.
Ammons received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Education from Troy University. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Administration of Higher Education from the University of Alabama.
