Enterprise State Community College announces Kevin Ammons as the Associate Dean of Students for all ESCC and Alabama Aviation Center campuses and sites across the state. His office is located on the Alabama Aviation Center at Ozark campus.
"The best part of my job is getting to know students," said Ammons. "Being able to help them from their beginning fears that they cannot go to college and then celebrating with them as they walk at graduation. It's a very rewarding career."
As the Associate Dean of Students, Ammons serves as registrar which includes grades, transcripts, registration, and graduation(s). In addition, he is responsible for athletic eligibility compliance, serves as the administrative oversight at the Ozark campus, and assists students with rights and due process.
"Mr. Ammons is an outstanding professional and I have the utmost confidence in his abilities," said Dr. Jeffrey H. Coats, ESCC Dean of Students. "His experience working with students makes him a perfect fit for the challenges that he will face in his new role."
Ammons worked with Troy University athletics, served as the Director of Financial Aid at Troy University, and continued his career as the Coordinator of Financial Aid and Veteran Affairs for Alabama Aviation Center for the last three years.
Ammons received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Education from Troy University. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Administration of Higher Education from the University of Alabama.
