Abbeville Police Make Weekend Drug Arrest

Abbeville Police arrested a Florida man on felony drug charges over the weekend. 

32 year old Versiah Mangel Taylor of Panama City Florida was arrested during a routine traffic stop on U.S. Highway 431 south Friday night. 

After a search of the vehicle, police recovered a kilo of cocaine underneath the backseat of the rental car Taylor was driving. 

Taylor was charged with trafficking in cocaine and placed in the Henry County Jail.  The cocaine has an estimated street value of $20,000.
