Frank Wesley Money, Jr., a resident of Shorterville, died early Saturday morning, September 8, 2012, in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital. He was 76.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 10, 2012, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ray S. Reiley officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1449 Medical Park Drive, Birmingham, AL. 35213.
Mr. Money was a lifelong resident of Henry County, son of the late Frank Wesley Money, Sr. and Bernice Parker Money. He served his country in the U. S. Army Reserve in the Abbeville unit. Mr. Money was engaged in farming and was formerly employed as a welder at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant. He was preceded in death by brothers in law, Tommy Wilson, Larry Beasley, Howard Johnson, Johnny Mac Day and Charlie Day, Jr. and his mother-in-law, Mary Alice Day.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Mary Charles Day Money, Shorterville; four daughters, Debbie Thompson (Roland), Midland City; Jane Davis (Frank), and Carolyn Tye (Mark), all of Abbeville; and Marilyn Woodham, Shorterville; two sisters, Lucy Farrow (Gary), Orange Beach, AL; and Maggie Wilson, Abbeville; a brother, Jimmy Money (Pam), Abbeville; nine grandchildren, Joseph Davis, Brittany Chambers, Haley Cook, Jameson Cook, John Mark Tye, Emily Tye, Anna Tye, Ally Tye and Logan Key; a great-granddaughter, Madilyn Hopper; sisters in law, Beverly Drury (Doug), Vickie Combee (Eddie) and Jeannetta Beasley; several nieces and nephews.
