A man is accused of threatening to shoot dozens of people at a Dothan clinic. According to Dothan Police, Jeffery Winberry called into Veterans Medical Center to ask about a prescription and was denied the information he was looking for.

Lieutenant Will Benny said the suspect then began threatening the employee over the phone and was very descriptive about the threats he had in mind.

"They received a call that somebody was going to come down there and shoot 42 people, being absolutely specific", Benny explained

Police say Winberry even told the employee that he planned to use a .45 caliber hand-gun to carry out the threat.

Police went to his home on Greenbriar Drive in Ozark where they found Winberry armed with a weapon similar to the one he described.

Once Winberry spotted police, he barricaded himself inside his house, beginning a nearly two-hour standoff. When Winberry tried to escape, he was captured.

Winberry is charged with making terrorist threats. Police say they are also considering other charges.

Winberry is being held on no bond and if convicted of the felony he could spend up to ten years in prison.
