TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Alabama's Dee Milliner has been named the Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week.

The junior cornerback recorded five tackles, intercepted one pass and broke up four others in a season-opening 41-14 victory over Michigan. He returned the interception 35 yards to the Michigan 17-yard line, setting up the Tide's third score.

On the interception, Milliner pushed the intended receiver out of bounds but was not penalized for pass interference because the pass was not yet in the air.
