Melissa Jones Flores, 41, of Ashford passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Murray Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 11-12 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.Mrs. Flores was born March 14, 1971 in Dale County and resided in Newton the early part of her life. She was a 1989 graduate of Dale County High School and attended Wallace College. She was a teammate at McLane Distribution Center for the past 13 years until her illness. Melissa was an avid Alabama and Notre Dame Football Fan.
Survivors include her husband Fidencio Flores of Ashford; son Michael Jones of Dothan; daughters, Lorena Jones and Lindsey Flores of Dothan; parents, Walter (Judy) Jones of Dothan and Linda Carraway of Dothan; sisters, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Henexson of Dothan, Amy Hobson of Australia, and Amanda (DeWayne) Walls of Ashford; several loving nieces and nephews also survive.
