Talmadge McIntosh

Mr. Talmadge McIntosh of Chancellor, AL passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at the family residence. He was 86.

Funeral services will be at10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Chancellor with Rev. Randall Pearson, Rev. Bryan Simoneaux and Rev. John McCrummen officiating.The body will be placed into the church one hour prior to the service.Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home Wednesday from 6 until 8.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Union Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 2525 County Road 643, Chancellor, AL 36316.

Mr. McIntosh was born May 23, 1926 in Coffee County, AL to the late Lee Roy and Naomi Motley McIntosh.He had served in the United States Army and was retired from the State of Alabama Highway Department.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Marie Adkison McIntosh and a son, Donnie Lee McIntosh.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Lee and Amanda McIntosh, Chancellor; 1 granddaughter, Mollee Paige McIntosh; 1 grandson, Tyler Lee McIntosh; 1 sister, Monette Turnham, Dothan, AL; 1 brother, Rex McIntosh (Margie), Enterprise; several nieces and nephews.
