Tyrann Mathieu has reportedly checked into the Right Step recovery center in Houston, according to a New Orleans television station.

Tyrone Mathieu, Tyrann's father, told Fox 8 that his son decided to enter the drug rehabilitation program following his dismissal at LSU.

The 20 year-old is being counseled by John Lucas.

There is no timetable on Mathieu's return to school but his father said there is a chance he will go back to class and maybe the football field in 2012.
