When the murder retrial of former Mobile County Commissioner Stephen Nodine is held in Dothan next month there won't be much said outside the courtroom. Circuit Judge Charles Partin has issued a gag order in the case.
In his ruling, Partin ordered that all parties involved not talk about the case outside the judicial proceedings. The gag order applies to prosecutors, defense attorneys, their employees, and members of the victim's family.
Nodine is accused of stalking and murdering his girlfriend outside her Gulf Shores home in 2010. His first trial ended when a jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
The retrial, scheduled to begin September 10, was moved to Dothan because of excessive pretrial publicity.
