Wiregrass Farmers Learn More About Irrigation Tax Credit

Last week's rain put a dent in the drought, but farmers are still worried about the rest of the season.

Alabama is offering a tax incentive that could be the answer to many farmers' prayers.

It will give them a tax credit to help offset the cost of installing irrigation.

The Wiregrass Extension Center held an informative webinar today to explain how the incentive can help.

The tax incentive will give farmers a credit for up to 20% of the cost to install irrigation.

There is a cap on it, as they can only receive up to $10,000 per farm.
