MOBILE, Alabama-- A judge has delayed a trial for Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley on charges of DUI and attempting to elude police.

Fairley, 24, was scheduled to appear in Mobile County District Judge George Hardesty's courtroom tomorrow. His trial is now set for Sept. 26.

His lawyer, Sid Harrell, is involved in a capital murder trial in Mobile this week and asked for the delay in Fairley's case.
