Anita Toney is the mother of Sanaa, a special eight year-old who never dreamed of being able to ride a bike. Today Sanaa is not only riding, she is the owner of a brand new Amtryke.

Amtrykes are tricycles that allow people with special needs to enjoy riding without putting strain on their muscles.

Toney said this bicycle is a blessing and watching her daughter is a feeling she will never forget. "She's able to peddle this with her hands, versus her muscle tone is so weak in her legs she can't peddle with her feet, but with the combination of her feet and hands she can peddle this bike."

Thanks to AMBUCS an organization devoted to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities, Sanaa and four other children went home with a new Amtryke today. The Amtrykes are made at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center where physical therapists and bike designers team up to ensure that each bike is perfected before it's new owner takes their first ride.
