Browns' Richardson Surgery Successful

Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson underwent a successful scope procedure on his knee on Thursday and team officials are optimistic he will be ready to play in time for the season opener against Philadelphia, according to a report from the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

"Trent Richardson underwent a successful routine arthroscopic procedure today on his left knee,'' coach Pat Shurmur said in a statement. "It was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla.
