morning in Veterans Memorial Stadium as the Trojans continue working
towards their first scrimmage of the fall on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The
Trojans will go through a pair of practices on Thursday at 8:15 a.m.
and 3:15 p.m. and one Friday morning before Saturday's first scrimmage
of
fall camp.

The Trojans also have a Sun Belt leading 84 all-conference selections
and 38 first team all-conference selections over that same time period.
The Trojans open the 2012 season on Sept. 1 at in-state rival UAB in
Legion Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. and the game will be
televised live by Fox College Sports.

Head Coach Larry Blakeney
"We're
dragging a little. It's about that time where their mind is tired,
their body is tired and they won't push their way through things. You
get
bad habits when you get like that. We are trying to encourage them to
get back where we've had it the whole time. We'll try and see what
happens tomorrow morning, we'll probably lighten it up a little bit. Try
to get ready to feel like scrimmaging Saturday
morning at 11.
On what the coaches will be looking for in Saturday's scrimmage
"Full
speed. Physical. Yes, I want to be good on offense and I want to be
good on defense, but we are playing each other. Full speed, physical,
folks
who want to win - we are going to try and identify those people.
On what point in camp are the players are tired of hitting each other
"Obviously
today. We've got a long time and a lot of preparation left to take care
of it. We've got to keep working. We're not good enough to take
a day off.
