Man Critically Injured When Wheelchair Hit On Busy Highway

Police in Ozark are looking for a driver whose vehicle struck a wheelchair leaving the person in it critically injured.

Chief Tony Spivey, in a prepared release, said a motorist traveling on U.S. Highway 231 saw the wheelchair in the roadway and called police.  When officers arrived, they found the wheelchair occupant along the roadway with what Spivey describes as critical injuries.  The accident happened shortly before 11 pm Tuesday.  The name of the victim has not been released.

Spivey is asking for the public's help in finding the personal for the crash who then left the scene,  Anyone with information should contact the Ozark Police Department at (334) 774-5111.
