James Willard Powell

Mr. James Willard Powell of Westville, FL, passed away August 4, 2012. He was 97. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Rod Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Anna Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Mr. Powell was born in Darlington, FL on May 27, 1915 to the late James Daniel and Lizzie Leona Stafford Powell. Mr. Powell loved to work and drive his John Deere Tractor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Padgett Powell; and nine brothers and sisters.
He is survived by one son, Jimmy Powell (Olean) of Westville, FL; two grandchildren, James Andrew Powell (Mariana) of Tallahassee, FL, and Traci Landers (Jim) of Westville, FL; four great grandchildren, Dustin Landers, Jessica Barnhouse Jamie) all of Westville, FL, Elizabeth Powell, and Peter Hogencamp both of Tallahassee, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
