Tropical Storm Ernesto Forms In Atlantic, Could Strike Gulf Coast

Tropical Storm Ernesto has formed in the mid Atlantic and could move into the Gulf of Mexico next week.
The National Hurricane Center projects Ernesto will pass over or near the Windward Islands by early Friday morning. Models show the storm will continue its westward track and move into the Caribbean Sea. It is projected to become a hurricane by the weekend.

Tropical Storm Ernesto into the Gulf during the latter part of next week.
Winds are currently ranging from 50-60 miles per hour.
