Geneva Youth Drowns In Florida Bay

By: Ken Curtis
Updated: August 2, 2012

A Geneva teenager drowned in Lynn Haven, Florida after he had been fishing near a bridge.  Family members saw they drove to Bay County Tuesday and fished overnight.  WMBB reports the 14-year old was left in shallow water when other members went to check crab traps near Bailey Bridge.  The boy's body was found in about five feet of water.

The remains were turned over to the state medical examiner.  However, investigators say they have no reason to believe any foul play was involved.

The name of the victim has not been released.
