From the Sun Belt:
NEW
ORLEANS - The Sun Belt Conference announced today its seven game
football slate that will air on the Sun Belt Network this fall.
This
is the fourth season of the Sun Belt Network, which is a joint
partnership with Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports
Television (CST). Each
game will be available in 13 states across the southeast and is often
available on ESPN3.com and ESPN GamePlan outside of the CSS and CST
markets.
The
agreement with CSS and CST has resulted in the broadcasting of
football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, volleyball,
and softball contests throughout
the last three seasons. In whole, the Sun Belt Network has been
responsible for over 100 events airing on CSS and CST over the past
three seasons.
The
seven games selected for the Sun Belt Network adds to the growing list
of football broadcasts that the Sun Belt Conference and its institutions
are directly responsible
for. In total, 22 games are currently scheduled to air during the 2012
football season because of the Sun Belt and member institution's
willingness to broadcast games. Additionally, the Sun Belt will
announce on August 2 that six more games will be added
to the broadcast schedule.
