With school less than a month away, children can expect some changes when it comes to P.E.
Alabama schools are moving away from outdated physical education requirements in favor of new fitness standards.
Second thru 12th graders will go through Alabama's Physical Fitness Assessment Program.
That takes the place of the President's Physical Fitness Assessment.
Some say the new program will help P.E. teachers more accurately assess the level of your child's physical fitness.
