Mr. Fred David Parker of Ponce de Leon, FL, passed away at Flowers Hospital on July 20, 2012. He was 59. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Leonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Rod Jones officiating.
Mr. Parker was born in Defuniak Springs, FL on May 12, 1953. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Parker is preceded in death by his father, Malckom Edward Parker and one sister, Thresa Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Shala Parker of Ponce de Leon, FL; mother, Eva Mae Hannah of Defuniak Springs, FL; one son, Travis Parker (Brandy) of Defuniak Springs, FL; two step children, Tyler Smith of Samson, AL, and Maycee Holmes of Westville, FL; three grandchildren, Sophia Parker, Preston Parker and Anna Bell Parker all of Defuniak Springs, FL; two brothers, Teddy Parker (Kathy) of Darlington, FL, and Ricky Parker of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Rebecca Fierra (Rodney) of Paxton, FL, and Debrah Johnson of Leonia, FL; best friend, Bobby Bruce Brasher of Goat Hill Road; and several nieces and nephews.
